Packaging & label design

Turn browsers into buyers with distinctive packaging design for captivating products, and people.

why is presentation so important?

It’s no secret that people really do judge a product by its packaging… because we all do!

Imagine going to a supermarket where it’s normal to try before you buy… Just open a box, take a bite. Don’t like it? Sure, no problem, put it back and try the other one.

But that’s not how it works. So how do we describe to consumers what to expect from a product if they can’t taste it first?

A product’s packaging and label design should paint a descriptive picture using design elements to show who will enjoy it the most, use tantalising teaser photography to get those mouths watering in anticipation, captivating words and illustrations to set imaginations running, and an overall aesthetic to hint at the quality and price point of your product.

How food and beverage products are presented makes all the difference. The packaging you choose to represent your product will also represent your brand’s identity and reputation, the quality of the product, the contents, and general shelf appeal.

Your product deserves to be best dressed and first picked.

  • A 50% deposit is invoiced to begin.

We meet on a Zoom call to delve into the project goals, target audience and artistic direction for the project.

You are encouraged to share a Pinterest mood board of your vision for the product. This, along with additional research and notes taken during our strategy call, will be used to create the formal project mood board capturing the style direction, colours, general mood, art direction for illustrations, fonts etc and will be presented in PDF for review.

  • Concept creation

Based on the approved mood board, I’ll begin work on sketching and developing the ideas into 1-2 concepts for presentation.

    Design

Based on feedback given on the concepts, I’ll work towards building the final design.

    Revisions & Approval

We work together to fine tune and finalise the artwork and make any tweaks needed. There are generally 2 rounds of revisions included in projects.

  • Once the design is approved, any prepress work required is completed to prepare the artwork for printing and final production.

This includes checking colour spaces, image resolution, text to outlines, crop marks and bleed if needed, any dielines or spot colours are set correct and any other requirements from your printers are checked.

Final print files are handed over via Dropbox once the final invoice is paid.
